Held from 1–5 October, the 2025 edition once again brought together electronic music, wellness and cultural exploration along Morocco’s Atlantic coast
MOGA Festival returned to Essaouira for its sixth Moroccan edition, reaffirming its place as one of North Africa’s leading boutique festivals. Held from 1–5 October, the 2025 edition once again brought together electronic music, wellness and cultural exploration along Morocco’s Atlantic coast.
Spanning five days, the festival’s OFF programme unfolded across Essaouira’s historic medina with free daytime events, workshops and intimate parties, before the IN programme took over Hôtel le Golf d’Essaouira & Spa for three days of performances across four stages and two pools.
More than 70 artists soundtracked this year’s edition, including Bonobo, Apollonia, Patrick Mason, Folamour, DJ Tennis, Janeret, Dorian Craft, Enzo Leep, Magda, Luca Saporito (Audiofly), Jorge Caiado, Rita Soko and Cabanne. Together they delivered a wide spectrum of house, techno, Afro and global sounds that reflected MOGA’s boundary-crossing spirit.
In addition to its music curation, MOGA continued to celebrate Essaouira’s Gnawa heritage through art installations, culinary pop-ups, creative workshops and wellness sessions, blending local tradition with international influences.
This year’s edition once again captured the essence of Essaouira, where ancient rhythms meet modern sounds, and strengthened MOGA’s reputation as a cross-cultural meeting point in the global festival calendar.
