Amsterdam Dance Event’s 30th edition will take place from October 22 to 26, 2025
Amsterdam’s vibrant dance music community came together for the 29th Amsterdam Dance Event, the city’s most extensive musical gathering, showcasing thousands of artists across over 1,000 events in more than 200 venues.
Over the five days, around 3,000 artists performed, featuring prominent names such as Jeff Mills, Honey Dijon, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, FJAAK, Brutalismus 3000, Major League DJz, The Martinez Brothers, Caribou, Carl Craig, Kerri Chandler, Marcel Dettmann, Moodymann, Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Anyma, Charlotte de Witte, Gene on Earth, Job Jobse, Mau P, Peach, Louie Vega, Martin Garrix, Chris Stussy and Palms Trax, among others.
The lineup also highlighted artists from the MENA region and its diaspora, including Sama’ Abdulhadi, Das Pharaoh, Aly & Fila, Fafi Abdel Nour, Abadir, Boys Noize, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Fadi Mohem, FNX Omar, Subandrio, Khen, Omri Smadar, Sahar Z, Tal Fussman, Arabella Memdouh, DJ Zombi, Dubfire, Karima el Fillali, Sarkawt Hamad and Seamus Haji, who performed across the event’s five-day span.
With a focus on advancing the electronic music industry, ADE provided a platform for several of these artists to participate in conferences, talks, and panels. Topics explored included touring, live event dynamics, and the evolution of artistic identity.
This year’s festival opened with a series of unique concerts in Amsterdam’s iconic cultural venues. Highlights included acoustic sessions at the Van Gogh Museum and an unexpected collaboration between jazz vocalist Greetje Bijma and electronic artist Oceanic at Bimhuis. These curated, one-off performances set the stage for the event’s diverse programming.
Looking ahead, ADE has announced that its 30th edition will take place from October 22 to 26, 2025. Following the close of this notable year, which saw an expanded conference and festival schedule and a fresh approach under the Arts & Culture banner, the ADE team is eager to prepare for 2025. Coinciding with Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, the 30th edition will align with city-wide celebrations, and ADE plans to reveal collaborative initiatives in the coming months.
