Ashley Wallbridge brings back ’90s trance energy with ‘Eivissa’

Ashley Wallbridge has released his new single “Eivissa”, a ’90s-inspired trance cut issued through his freshly launched imprint, Embrace The Journey.

Channelling the era’s piano-driven melodies and Balearic warmth, the track combines a driving bassline with Wallbridge’s signature clean production, an approach that has already earned the British DJ and producer more than 300 million Spotify streams and support from Armin van Buuren and Tiësto.

Introducing the label, Wallbridge explains, “There’s a lot going on right now and I’ve honestly never felt more inspired. After years of dreaming, planning, and waiting for the right moment, I’m proud to finally launch my own label: Embrace The Journey. It’s more than just a name—it’s a mindset.” He adds that the venture “represents everything I’ve been through, both personally and professionally. The ups, the downs, and everything in between. It’s about embracing the process, trusting the path, and staying true to yourself as an artist.”

The first statement release on the label arrived last month. “The first release on the label, ‘Rise of Sparta,’ dropped last month and was all about making a bold statement,” he notes. “‘It’s the kind of track that captures the energy of those peak-time sets—raw power mixed with melodic tension—and it reflects my roots as both a DJ and a producer who’s always aimed to blend emotion with impact.’”

Turning to his latest single, Wallbridge says, “‘Following that is my next single, ‘Eivissa,’ which dropped early this month. I’ve always been drawn to euphoric melodies and emotional build-ups, but lately, I’ve been heavily inspired by the resurgence of ’90s trance… It’s got that Balearic feel too—like the kind of tune you’d hear watching the sun come up over the beach.’”

Looking ahead, the producer outlines an ambitious schedule: “‘I’ll be releasing a new single every four weeks leading up to my fourth artist album, which is dropping later this year… You’ll hear some huge collaborations too—Gareth Emery, Linney, Christina Novelli, and plenty of other talented artists I’ve been lucky to work with.’”

A recent pause from touring has, he says, reset his priorities. “‘Over the last year, I made the conscious decision to take a step back from touring… Becoming a dad has changed everything for me in the best possible way. That space away from the road has allowed me to fully focus on creating music that means something.’”

Wallbridge’s broader vision for Embrace The Journey is equally clear: “‘I want it to be a platform for meaningful music… whether that’s a huge festival anthem or a melodic track for a late-night drive.’”

With “Eivissa” now out and a steady run of singles on the horizon, Wallbridge ushers in what he calls a “new chapter” in a career that has already seen him tour more than 50 countries and top the iTunes dance chart with his 2021 album Ready for Life—yet, if his renewed momentum is any guide, the journey is only just beginning.
