  • 18 May 2023

For the fourth time, the Berlin Dance Music Event (BDME) brings together a diverse community of industry stakeholders and enthusiasts bound by a common love: electronic music. From May 25 to 28, professionals, producers, DJs and ravers will converge for networking, learning, discussions, and dancing. Last year's impressive tally of 50 events, 15 clubs, and more than 80 artists and speakers, is set to be far surpassed this year, with the line-ups and locations doubling already (over 100 events, over 150 artists and speakers, 20 locations).

Moving on All Levels

Germany's largest electronic music conference offers an influential platform aimed to inspire veterans and newcomers alike from every sector. Current developments and trends will be showcased through workshops, panels, masterclasses, and interviews, while artists also get the chance to present their work and win big:

The SAE Creative Media Institute offers a two-day Production Challenge for producers, judged by a panel of renowned artists.

During an A&R Session at Sony's headquarters, anyone can submit their own demos – a golden opportunity for a major record deal. A Songwriting-Camp hosted by ROBA & Universal offers a chance to work on your own songs with noted figures and discover talents.

Tip: Stay well-connected with the Patch app

With the networking tool Patch, all BDME participants can connect and interact, choose their favourite panels and thus become part of an exclusive community.

Breathless Through the Night

Work first, then even more fun – the party crowd is, of course, catered for. The BDME festival kicks off at Berlin's classic Ritter Butzke, free of charge, but with featuring artists like LOVRA, Jengi, Jil Tanner, and Juliet Sikora.

The official party takes place at Napoleon Komplex – from Friday night to Sunday morning, two floors plus an open-air area will be filled with ravers and played by big acts, including DJ Hell, Miss Monique, and Julian Muller. Expect a mix of melodic tunes and infectious beats.

New and recommended: With the Nightlife Pass, night owls get five credits for all days and clubs, which can be danced away at the same or different venues. Pass holders save on price and queueing: for 99 Euros, you can always use the Fast Lane to the party!
