+ONE debuts with a groovy start in Dubai’s underground scene
The series began with Honeytrap last Saturday and moves forward with House Party on December 28
+ONE, a new addition to Dubai's vibrant music scene and an underground electronic music night, launched on December 21 with a set by Honeytrap at VNYL Hi-Fi.
The opening night set the tone for what is to come, with the dynamic DJ trio Honeytrap delivering a deep, atmospheric, and groovy sound that resonated with the crowd. Drawing on over 12 years of individual experience, their performance showcased their synergy as a collective and provided an engaging journey into the heart of Dubai’s burgeoning underground scene.
The following gatherings are set to explore a wide array of sounds and concepts. Minimal vibes from House Party with Taim8 b2b Sany, Motion b2b Halawa as well as Kira on December 28 will bring an intimate yet fresh energy, while January 4 will see Pure Dubai 94.7 take the helm with a curated lineup of selectors bridging local and international audiences. The broadcast, live across Dubai and Ibiza, is expected to add an innovative dimension to the evening.
Throughout the series, attendees will continue to see some of their favourite parties join the +ONE family, alongside fresh and exciting new concepts. Among the anticipated highlights are the vibrant Bus Stop Oasis party by Motion, a rising talent from Cairo, the underground house vibes of Faction, which bridges scenes from Ibiza, the UK, and Dubai, and the renowned deep minimal sounds of Aztech. Other standout moments will include the 8008 label launch, featuring international stars Jenn Getz & Alfie, as well as Roberta Hickey’s Little Pink Book, an all-female showcase, and Parvane’s Joon Collective, promising to add dynamic layers to the ongoing series.
Co-founded by Adam Cotier and Roberta Hickey, the +ONE series has successfully fostered a sense of community and creativity, inviting seasoned ravers and newcomers alike to explore Dubai’s underground soundscape.
