1001Tracklists publishes annual ‘A State Of Dance Music’ report
The report provides a detailed look at the data behind the biggest sets and most played electronic music tracks in 2022
The world's biggest DJ tracklist database platform 1001Tracklists has published their annual ‘A State Of Dance Music’ report, providing a detailed look at the data behind the biggest sets and most played electronic music tracks in 2022. 1001Tracklists set a new record with 7.1 million users visiting the site a total of 64.9 million times during the year. Additionally, 67.5K tracklists were added to the site, averaging at around 185 tracklists per day, and the database saw an influx of 100K new tracks.
The report, which lists the top tracks that are supported by DJs, the most popular record labels, “top 50” lists categorised by music genres and the leading radio shows in electronic music, features a ranking of the top 200 tracks that are frequently included in sets by DJs whose set tracklists were added to 1001Tracklists. The most popular genre among the tracks that DJs supported on the platform in 2022 is tech house with 21%, followed by dance at 19%, trance at 11%, bass house at 11% and house at 10%.
