Altersoul Music unveils ‘Ya Morocco’ compilation in aid of earthquake relief
Featuring 18 artists, the 11-track compilation will raise funds for those affected by the natural disaster
Altersoul Music has initiated a meaningful musical project with their "Ya Morocco" compilation, following the catastrophic earthquake that shook the Marrakech region on September 8.
This exceptional musical collection goes beyond being just a mere assortment of tracks; it stands as a powerful demonstration of music's ability to heal and unite in times of adversity.
The driving force behind "Ya Morocco" is a noble one: to extend support to those devastated by the earthquake in Morocco's Al Haouz region. All proceedings from the EP will be dedicated to the families affected.
Curated with exceptional care by Achraf Afaf, the Marrakech-based Altersoul Music’s label manager, "Ya Morocco" features an array of artists such as Funkky, VAN, Achex, Kabmusik, Abbouqi, Ider prod, Cranky, Salah Fafah, The Wild Child, Prïa, Sahraaoui, Driss Koyo, Touzani, Ismailovic, A X L, M-farag, Souhail Artwork and Sound of Mint. Their contributions blend traditional Moroccan elements, including indigenous instruments and vocals from the earthquake-impacted areas, with modern genres like Afro house, organic house and downtempo.
