Bahrain adds new indoor venue as Terminal 4 by Beyon nears opening
The 3,500-capacity venue opens within Exhibition World Bahrain as a companion to Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre
A new indoor concert venue is on the way in Bahrain, with Terminal 4 by Beyon set to open as a 3,500-capacity space.
Set to open within Exhibition World Bahrain, Terminal 4 is led by the team behind Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre and is positioned to strengthen the Middle East touring circuit by offering a fully weather-proof theatre space in a country where climate conditions often limit year-round programming. The venue has been designed to host concerts, comedy performances and theatrical productions, expanding the range of events that can be staged across the calendar.
The new venue sits on the same grounds as Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre and the Bahrain International Circuit, home of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix. Conceived as a companion space rather than a standalone project, Terminal 4 has been developed by the same creative team responsible for Al Dana and is custom-fitted specifically for live entertainment at theatre scale.
“Terminal 4 By Beyon represents a major step forward in our mission to establish Bahrain as an entertainment hub. Our partnership with Beyon Group enables us to deliver extraordinary experiences all year long, both indoors and outdoors. The facility complements our main amphitheatre seamlessly, allowing us to attract a broader range of artistic talent while meeting the evolving expectations of our valued audiences,” said Damian Bush, CEO of Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre.
“I designed this space as a companion to Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, the simple lines, colours and textures mirror that of the outdoor stadium in an indoor setting, and we’ve given the same care and attention to crew facilities and backroom space, to ensure every performer has the best possible experience when they come for a show,” says principle architect Marwan Lockman of SL Architects.
Terminal 4 builds on the success of Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, which opened in 2021 as Bahrain’s first purpose-built music venue. Since then, the space has welcomed major international acts including Post Malone, Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Julian Jordan, firmly placing Bahrain on the global touring map. Upcoming shows across this venue complex include a performance from Calvin Harris, among many others.
The new indoor venue will officially open with John Mayer confirmed as its first international act, set to perform on January 20.
