Beatport and Wasteland to host 4 livestreams from the French Alps between December 2022 and March 2023

Beatport has linked up with Wasteland Travel, a UK-based travel and event company that brings university students to the Alps for skiing and partying.

The brands will be hosting four livestreams from the ski resorts of Les Deux Alpes, Alpe D’Huez, Tignes and Val Thorens between December 2022 and March 2023.

These will be the season’s opening parties for UK students from Universities including Bristol, Manchester, St Andrews and University College London. Livestreams will feature performances by Shy FX & MC Dynamite, Krystal Klear, Mungos HiFi, S.P.Y and MC LowQui, Crazy P, Holy Goof, among others. The livestreams will be available on Beatport’s Facebook page, YouTube and Twitch channels.

In addition, there was an open call for up-and-coming DJs from UK based universities to upload a five minute mix to LabelRadar as part of a DJ mix competition. Beatport and Wasteland judged the applicants, with DJ Woody Cook (the son of Fatboy Slim) selecting 3 winners; DVN, Sounds of the ZK and DJ Mtrax, who are set to play DJ sets in the Alps. The winners will also receive a free ski holiday to the Wasteland week they perform at.

Carnival Carnage - 25 March - 1 April, Tignes.
