New Butch single blends North African raï and reggada influences
‘Moroccans From Outer Space With Lasers’ features samples from Said Rami’s ‘Twachi / تواشي’, taken from the 13-track album ‘Aalach Kalbek Nsrani’

Butch (Bülent Gürler) has released a new single titled ‘Moroccans From Outer Space With Lasers’, accompanied by a video created by Kubilay Han Uçak.
The track carries a distinctive raï character with clear reggada influence, weaving together traditional North African sounds with Butch’s left-field electronic touch. While the producer has not made reference, the release features samples from Said Rami’s ‘Twachi / تواشي’, taken from the 13-track album ‘Aalach Kalbek Nsrani’, which was digitally restored and re-released by Fes Maatic in 2021.
The release copy reads: “Some say Butch travelled to a parallel universe to make this record. Others claim he simply ate a suspiciously spicy tajine while watching Barbarella on loop – on acid. The truth? Who cares? ‘Moroccans From Outer Space With Lasers’, isn’t just a track. It’s a dancefloor documentary about interstellar North African visitors, armed with vintage lasers and only the best intentions. The track asks: What if E.T. had taken a wrong turn at Casablanca and ended up raving in a spaceship?”
