David Ramano returns to When Stars Align with ‘Pleasure’ EP

When Stars Align has welcomed back London-based producer David Ramano with his three-track EP ‘Pleasure’.

The EP opens with the title track, ‘Pleasure’, which combines rolling percussion with rich piano chords, layered synths and ethereal vocals. Its warm, atmospheric production places the track between daytime sessions and sunset sets, balancing a steady groove with a more spacious feel.

‘Broken’ takes the EP into darker territory, bringing together Afro House and melodic elements around a driving bassline and hypnotic synth patterns. The track adopts a tighter rhythmic approach, adding a deeper edge suited to more energetic points in a DJ set.

Closing the release, ‘My Eyes’ shifts towards a lighter and more uplifting sound. Warm melodic layers, spacious vocals and a feel-good groove give the track a sense of lift, making it a natural fit for daytime parties and golden-hour transitions.

Speaking about the EP, Ramano said: “For me, the best music exists outside of time. It doesn’t matter when it was made or what trends surround it, if it moves you, it matters. This EP was created from that mindset. I wanted each track to feel like a journey, balancing the energy of the dancefloor with something more personal and introspective. My hope is that listeners find whatever they need in these records, whether that’s joy, reflection, inspiration, or simply a moment to escape.”

Raised in London’s diverse musical landscape, Ramano has developed a sound informed by soulful harmonies, emotional songwriting and underground dance culture. His musical journey stretches back to the 1990s pirate radio scene and has taken him to stages across the UK, Spain, Sweden and Canada. As one half of Deepologists, he has also explored an immersive approach to dance music that places equal emphasis on its physical and emotional dimensions.
