Deep Dish breathe new life into ‘Flashdance’ with brand-new remix

Deep Dish have announced a fresh new chapter in their musical journey. They are revisiting some of their most beloved classics, starting with their hit single “Flashdance”. The first remix of this timeless track dropped on October 11, marking the beginning of what promises to be a thrilling series of releases.

“Flashdance”, originally released in 2004, became an international hit, earning widespread acclaim and climbing the charts, notably peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart. Featuring vocals from Anousheh Khalili, the song is a cover of Shandi Sinnamon's "He's a Dream" from the iconic Flashdance soundtrack.

Now, Deep Dish are breathing new life into the classic, with two brand-new reincarnations that showcase their evolved sound and artistic growth. The duo expressed their enthusiasm about their latest project, stating, “After nearly two decades of solo work, we’re excited to announce we’re bringing a fresh energy to some of our classics, starting with new revamps of 'Flashdance' single, available in two reincarnations.”

With a career that spans decades, the duo, comprising Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, are no stranger to success. From remixing tracks for legends like Madonna, Janet Jackson and Stevie Nicks, to winning a Grammy for their remix of Dido’s “Thank You”, the duo has consistently delivered genre-defining music. After disbanding in 2006 to pursue solo careers, they reunited in 2014, reigniting their creative partnership.

Deep Dish will participate as speakers at IMS Dubai’s debut edition on November 14-15.
