El Kontessa releases first single from her debut album, ‘Nos Habet Caramel’

El Kontessa's highly anticipated debut album is on the horizon. The Cairo-based DJ/producer El Kontessa (Fajr Soliman) has released her first single from her forthcoming debut album, ‘Nos Habet Caramel’.

Set to be released via Bilna'es label, which is co-run by Muqata'a, Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme, ‘Nos Habet Caramel’ promises to be a groundbreaking musical journey.

Titled ‘Mesh Marshmellow’, the first single from the album showcases El Kontessa's innovative approach to electronic music, blending samples and polyrhythmic percussion in a mesmerising display. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant sounds of Mahraganat, a traditional genre from the artist's native country, the track immerses listeners in a world of pulsating beats and hypnotic melodies.

Since her debut, El Kontessa's artistic journey has been marked by constant growth and exploration, pushing boundaries and defying expectations. Her ability to seamlessly blend genres and capture the essence of Egypt's alternative music scene has earned her widespread acclaim.

She explores the realms of Egyptian Pop and Mahraganat music, incorporating their unique elements into her production and DJ sets. Through deconstruction of familiar and nostalgic sounds, she introduces new textures and seamlessly merges them with the vibrant soundscapes of Cairo.
