Explore the depths of sound with Jad Taleb’s latest EP, ‘Dub Textures’
The EP is an exploration of sound, space and emotion, inviting listeners on a journey from the physical to the contemplative
The Beirut-hailing now London-based producer and experiential artist Jad Taleb has released his latest EP, "Dub Textures", on the Sarab label.
"Dub Textures" is a testament to Taleb's skill in transforming ordinary spaces into realms of introspection and meditation. His tracks are not just about the rhythm; they delve deeper, inviting listeners to engage in a thoughtful musical experience. Taleb's sound is characterised by a combination of heady, sentient pads and the intense energy of chopped-up Lebanese breaks, creating an immersive auditory journey.
The EP features two distinct tracks, "Leafcutters" and "Shackled”, each offering a different perspective of Taleb's creative vision. Adding to the eclectic mix, Lebanese pop singer Naftaline lends her vocals, bringing a unique flair to the EP. This experimental tech house EP follows on the heels of Taleb's previous collaboration with Maxxii, titled "Je Suis Vous".
Taleb's music is a reflection of his diverse experiences, from the vibrant streets of Beirut to the dynamic energy of London's nightlife. He seamlessly transitions from the underground vibe of a grimy concrete basement to the ephemeral openness of a clear, light-filled space. The “Dub Textures" EP is an exploration of sound, space and emotion, inviting listeners on a journey from the physical to the contemplative.
