New soundsystem emulator lets your hear your track in the club
The new plugin can test out how your track would be heard from a range of soundsystems and environments
A plugin from G-Sonique can allow you to test out your music in different club settings and soundsystems.
The programme called PA Club Soundsystem Emulator allows users to get an idea of how their tracks could be heard from small monitors to a huge PA system.
This new tech has 10 different club settings as well as different soundsystems and rooms including reflections so that you can test out a range of scenarios.
The emulator also allows users to try out a range of amplifiers and processors such as the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) amplifier.
As well as this, the stimulation can even be recognised when the DJ is redlining as “the limiters in the processors and various protection equipment/limiters that prevent the speakers from firing.
In other words, the louder the input, the more unpleasant the sound, but many DJs like to play at the max volume and therefore you can set different levels of input signal strength with the knob.”
Peter Kirn, author at CDM Create Digital Music told Music Tech: “At this price, it’s a no-brainer to recommend as a learning tool to novice producers. It’s convincing enough that you can hear the strain of the amp and mixer (and my stress level as I watch a DJ redline from the booth), as you turn up the knob.”
