Hard To Tell release new EP, ‘Love Pedal’

Hard To Tell have made a grand entrance on TAU with a trio of rhythmically rich tracks, showcasing their creative aptitude.

The ‘Love Pedal’ EP includes three spanking new offerings, each a testament to the duo's remarkable craft.

The EP opens with its namesake track, characterised by a jerky, somewhat unconventional tempo. The track is laced with emotive yet eerie vocals, set against a backdrop of diverse percussive elements, lending it a distinctive edge. The bass slinks seductively in the lower registers, while the vocals float effortlessly above. This track exudes a sultry, mischievous vibe, perfect for the nocturnal escapades.

Following is ‘Be Waiting’, continuing the trend of ingenious drum work. The beats hypnotise, creating an irresistibly catchy rhythm. At the heart of this track lies an energising melody, escalating the suspense as darker tones subtly emerge. The breakdown peels back layers, setting the stage for a revitalised surge in the latter half. It's a masterful blend of sombre and spirited sonics.

The finale, ‘I Didn’t’, sees Hard To Tell joining forces with Yet More. Here, the rhythm takes a tribal turn, underpinned by organic percussion. The bassline and a medley of stabs and vocal snippets ensure the dance floor remains captivated. Progressing through, a string-led melody steers us towards the breakdown, enriched by organ tones. This track is a stirring number, guaranteed to electrify crowds wherever it resonates.

Featured in the TAU Cast mix series, the duo have also marked their presence on Innervisions’ ‘Secret Weapons Part 16 VA Compilation’, showcasing their another impressive track, ‘Last Forever’.
