Hunter/Game release ‘Last Hour’ EP ahead of UAE show
Featuring two new originals and a remix from Recondite, the three-track EP drops ahead of Hunter/Game's headline show at Soho Garden, Dubai on July 26
Italian duo Hunter/Game, comprising of Martino Bertola and Emmanuele Nicosia, have released a three-track EP that includes two collaborations with Ramverk and a remix by Recondite, ahead of their Soho Garden Dubai headline show on July 26.
Riding a wave of international acclaim from their 'Stars' EP released in late May, the Milan-based electronic duo make a swift return to their long-standing Just This imprint with their second EP in just three months, unveiling the 'Last Hour' EP.
Opening with the title track, 'Last Hour', the duo present a brooding five-minute piece that highlights their exceptional talent for infusing raw, unbridled emotion into dance floor anthems. Anchored by Ramverk's mesmerising topline, the track weaves a tapestry of intricate layers that converge in blissful dissonance, creating an immersive atmosphere that captivates listeners from the outset and sets a pristine tone for the entire record.
The EP's second offering, 'Let Love’, draws listeners into a more introspective domain. Here, Hunter/Game navigate a macabre journey through consciousness, with Ramverk’s despondent lyrics intertwined with resonant basslines, eerie samples and pulsating four-four beats. This track showcases the duo's meditative signature style, offering a dark, understated gem that stands out in the middle of the EP.
Rounding off the collection, the Milanese duo welcome esteemed industry veteran, Recondite, for his highly anticipated debut on the label. His inspired remix of 'Let Love' adds a hauntingly meticulous sound design to Hunter/Game's original composition, delivering a dynamic and spirited instrumental finale that closes the EP on a high.
Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Hunter/Game have carved a distinct niche in electronic music with their deep, emotive melodies and hypnotic rhythms. Their individual explorations of various genres converged in 2010, leading to a collaborative venture that quickly gained recognition. Drawing inspiration from diverse musical backgrounds and a shared passion for electronic music, the duo seamlessly blend house, techno and ambient elements, creating immersive soundscapes that bridge the gap between dance floor energy and introspective listening.
Fans can catch Hunter/Game playing on Friday, July 26 at Soho Garden Dubai.
