INA releases 2025 Best Clubs list with representation from MENA region

The International Nightlife Association [INA], the non-profit organisation that represents the nightlife sector worldwide, has announced The World’s 100 Best Clubs™ 2025 during the 10th Golden Moon Awards gala, held alongside the 10th International Nightlife Congress in Valencia. The ranking, which this year drew votes for 545 clubs across 73 countries, again underlines Ibiza’s dominance at the top while highlighting a handful of clubs from the wider MENA region.

Dubai’s The Penthouse appears on the list as one of the region’s leading rooftop clubs. Situated on the 16th floor of FIVE Palm Jumeirah, it combines dining, sunset sessions and late-night DJ programming, positioning itself as a high-end destination within the city’s nightlife landscape.

Morocco secures two entries with Theatro Marrakech and Babouchka. Theatro, housed in a former theatre, is known for its large-scale productions and hybrid club-show format. Babouchka, located in the Hivernage district, operates as a luxury late-night club with a strong local and tourist following.

Cyprus is represented by The Castle Club in Ayia Napa, long regarded as one of the island’s major nightlife hubs. Spanning several rooms and terraces, it attracts large summer crowds and remains central to the resort town’s seasonal clubbing appeal.

This year’s list positions Theatro Marrakech at No. 54, The Penthouse at No. 58, Babouchka at No. 87 and The Castle Club in Ayia Napa at No. 95. At the very top of the global ranking, [UNVRS] in Ibiza takes the No. 1 spot, followed by Hï Ibiza at No. 2 and Ushuaïa Ibiza at No. 3.

The 10th International Nightlife Congress, held parallel to the awards ceremony at the SH Valencia Palace Hotel in Valencia from 18-19 November, brought together policymakers and industry leaders to discuss global trends, safety frameworks and future development models for the sector.

The programme included a session on the expanding “night mayor” model, now adopted by dozens of cities to coordinate policies around the night-time economy. Participants emphasised its value in improving communication between venues, policymakers and local communities.
