Jares rolls out two consecutive EPs in one month
The Montreal-based Lebanese DJ/producer makes his BeatFreak Recordings debut with the ‘Duality / Shades’ EP and drops ‘Dystopia’ via Balkan Connection

Lebanon-hailing, now Canada-based DJ/producer Jares (Mohammed Jarmak), has delivered two consecutive releases this month. The first is his debut on BeatFreak Recordings with the ‘Duality / Shades’ EP, followed by the ‘Dystopia’ EP on Balkan Connection.
The ‘Duality / Shades’ EP introduces a trio of tracks. ‘Duality’ showcases intricate percussion, deep melodies and glitch-infused vocal layers, creating a textured soundscape. In contrast, ‘Shades’ leans towards a more melodic indie direction, powered by a prominent kick and snare, alongside sharper elements designed for a high-energy club experience. Ukrainian producer Stas Drive contributes a remix of ‘Duality,’ injecting Afro rhythms while reinterpreting the original’s key elements with his distinctive touch.
Jares’ second release of the month, ‘Dystopia’, continues with a three-track offering. It features two original cuts, ‘Dystopia’ and ‘Despite Everything’, alongside a remix of the title track by Dmitry Molosh.
