Kamoun shares new EP, ‘Multi’
The Belgium-based Algerian producer’s new EP fuses the flavours of the instruments found in traditional Berber music and British bass culture
Algerian DJ/producer Kamoun (Abderrahmene Hamitouche) has released a new EP, ‘Multi’.
Immersed in percussive club music that draw inspiration from both the instruments found in traditional Berber music and British bass culture, the five-track EP showcases a testament to the power of cross-cultural interpretation and experimentation.
Lusciously minimal rhythms and jovial bass lines beckon in perfectly masterminded percussive punches, whilst addictive and creeping elements subtly come together to form a full, layered sound.
Kamoun, co-founder of Brussels-based label Sketchy Lines Records, shows the future-facing vision of his label by deploying propulsive, complex and invigorating soundscapes in his latest release.
