Komashov returns with first release of 2024 on Hurry Up Slowly
The home-grown Tel Aviv talent marks his debut release on the Miami-based label
DJ/producer Komashov has released his first release of the year on Hurry Up Slowly.
Titled ‘Wama’, the three-track EP begins with the title track ‘Wama’, where Komashov combines rhythmic percussion and strong synth elements, creating an engaging dance track. His use of melodic riffs and a hint of ethnic vocals complements the intricate synth patterns, a nod to his well-received musical style.
Following is ‘Podiya’, a track that merges Afro-house rhythms with classic piano chords, highlighting Komashov's skill in fusing diverse musical genres into a distinct sound. The EP concludes with ‘Maka’, offering a dynamic listening experience, characterised by rhythmic variety and nuanced transitions.
Emerging from Israel's vibrant house music scene, Komashov has made significant strides in his career since debuting his discography in 2022. His new work includes a notable first release for the Miami-based label and events organiser, Hurry Up Slowly, showcasing his three-track ‘Wama’ EP.
The EP builds on the success of Komashov’s ‘Mayoko’ single, released in November 2023, and signifies the beginning of a series of anticipated releases. Komashov, a regular on the Monaberry and Abracadabra labels, has performed alongside notable figures in dance music such as Marco Carola, Guy Gerber, BLOND:ISH, Damian Lazarus and Jan Blomqvist.
