Moog reveals new and updated Etherwave theremin

Moog Music has announced a brand new version of their Etherwave Standard and Etherwave Plus theremins.

Named the Etherwave Theremin it includes all-new features and can be used by newcomers and experts.

Based on the original Etherwave circuitry that was designed by Bob Moog himself in 1996, this updated version has a better bass response, CV output integration to connect with other instruments and mute control that allows standby mode along with a "pitch preview" setting via headphones.

As well as this there is an updated antenna connection for quick assembly and a quick-release mic stand adapter.

Earlier this year, Moog Music released a new documentary series called GIANTS, using original music, imagery and more to explore the effect and legacy of some of electronic music's most influential personalities.

Watch the episode on the Moog’s Etherwave named The Octopus Project below.
