The EP features three tracks that showcase Tapia’s techno influences from the past, updated with modern production techniques. From loopy beats to organ sounds and arpeggios, the ‘Circular’ EP is a powerful, hypnotic and groove-filled journey.
Tapia’s latest release is a rhythmic roller that propels listeners into a pulsing journey of sound and rhythm. Blending driving beats with an old school vibe, ‘Circular’ creates an experience that bridges the gap between the past and the future of techno.
Ramon Tapia's first appearance on Tronic Music dates back to 2013 when he remixed the label honcho Christian Smith's track entitled ‘Get It Done’. The ‘Circular’ EP marks Ramon Tapia's first solo release on the imprint. He previously was featured on the fourth instalment of the label's 'Rockets' compilation series in 2018, and later he released a remix for Drunken Kong's 'Moments' in 2020.
The ‘Circular’ EP is Ramon Tapia's fourth standalone release of the year, following on from the single 'P.A.R.T.Y.' as well as two solo EPs, ‘Rhythm Machine’ and ‘Strident’. This spring the artist has also remixed Ignacio Arfeli's track ‘Like a Freak Machine’ and released a collaborative four-tracker, ‘Momentum’, with Gaston Zani.
