Red Axes revisit ‘We Do For Love’ following release of latest album ‘LOUD’

Red Axes have released ‘We Do For Love (Remixes)’, revisiting their recent collaboration with Rowetta.

The original version of ‘We Do For Love’ first appeared on Red Axes’ album ‘LOUD’, released last November. The track marked a first official collaboration between the duo and the Manchester-born singer, placing her vocal presence within Red Axes’ contemporary, rhythm-driven framework.

With the remix release, Red Axes have shifted the focus toward the dancefloor. Their own remix reshapes the track into a more extended and hypnotic form, tightening the groove while keeping Rowetta’s vocal at its core.

Rowetta, whose voice has been part of British dance music history since the late 1980s, emerged from the early acid house and rave landscape and went on to become closely associated with the Madchester era, most notably through her work with Happy Mondays and a wider catalogue of club-focused releases.

The other remix on the release comes from Jonny Rock, who offers an alternative interpretation that complements the package while sitting alongside Red Axes’ own version.
