Dubai-based underground collective Secta teams up with Bassiani to host a joint party in Dubai on December 17.

The event marks the first Bassiani showcase in the UAE and follows the Georgian club’s recent South America tour between August 20 and September 10.

Bassiani’s NDRX and NEBBIERI have revealed that they will be performing at the Dubai party alongside the likes of Ju Lovett, Dea and Kirill Zhan.

Regarded as one of the world's best techno clubs in the world, Bassiani attracts tourists from all over the globe and has a photography prohibited rule. It has become a major hub for underground electronic music. The club is located in a former underground swimming pool and is made up of several rooms, each with its own unique sound.

Bassiani and its queer-focused Horoom Nights serve as a stronghold against homophobic violence. It has been featured in a documentary, Midnight Frontier, which delves into LGBTQI+ activism by focussing on the world-famous Tbilisi club. Created by Peter van Langen in 2019, the documentary had previously aired at big events such as ADE and became accessible to see for free in 2021 in an effort to highlight the prejudice many LGBTQI+ Georgians face.

“The time has finally come to welcome the infamous BASSIANI to Dubai on Saturday 17th of December. We believe this is a really important step for our small but ever growing alternative underground scene. We call out to all our amazing community to come join us, support us and bring your incredible energy on the dance floor to our brand new home: Industrial Avenue,” says a press release by Secta regarding the Dubai gathering.
