Shkoon unveil full ‘Greater Than One’ Beirut show video on YouTube

Shkoon, the Hamburg-based duo consisting of Syrian vocalist and percussionist Ameen Khayer and German keyboardist and producer Thorben Diekmann, have dropped the full video from their January 3 performance at AHM in Beirut, as part of their ‘Greater Than One’ tour.

Named after their upcoming EP, ‘Greater Than One’, the tour reflects a new creative chapter for the acclaimed duo. Following the release of the first single ‘Jadal’ on February 14, Shkoon recently dropped ‘Souf’ as the second track from the project.

Describing this new journey, the pair explain: “Greater Than One is our way of reminding ourselves—and you—that we’re not alone in all of this. Through music, we can laugh, cry, stay silent, feel close, and drift away. This is more than just a concert. It’s a space to connect, to feel, and to remember what it truly means to be human, especially in times like these. We’re grateful to welcome you to this journey. Together, we are greater than one.”

Reflecting on how the new EP builds on ‘Masrahiya’, their previous album and the core of their last tour, they note: “Our last album Masrahiya (“Theater Play”) blurred the lines between reality and fiction. Greater Than One is about staying present, embracing emotion, and finding strength in each other.”
