Syncia and CASH ONLY join forces with Scott Garcia for new single ‘Do Nothin’’
The new track arrives as Famous When Dead Records prepares for its summer residency at Pikes Ibiza
Syncia and CASH ONLY have teamed up with Scott Garcia for a new single titled ‘Do Nothin’’, set to arrive via Famous When Dead Records on 20 March.
Built around a wobbling bassline and skippy, garage-inspired drum programming, the track leans into a groove-led club structure shaped by the trio’s shared grounding in UK underground sounds. Its rolling low-end and minimal vocal hooks place the focus firmly on dancefloor momentum, reflecting the production approach that Syncia and CASH ONLY have continued to refine in recent collaborations.
Early reactions from DJs and tastemakers have positioned the track as a potential staple in club sets this year, with some drawing comparisons to the cultural impact of Flat Beat due to its recognisable bass motif and rhythmic bounce.
The release also extends the recent run of activity from Famous When Dead Records, which is preparing for a full summer residency at Pikes Ibiza. The label, helmed by CASH ONLY, has increasingly positioned itself around contemporary house and UK-influenced club music.
For Scott Garcia, the collaboration marks his first release of the year. The producer remains widely associated with his landmark UK garage anthem It’s a London Thing, a record that continues to be cited as a defining moment in the genre’s late-1990s emergence.
Syncia and CASH ONLY previously joined forces on ‘Surrender’, a collaboration that helped establish a shared production language rooted in bass-heavy house, UK garage and early jungle references. On ‘Do Nothin’’, the pair move towards a slightly darker, more low-end-focused palette, with Garcia’s involvement anchoring the track to the lineage of classic UKG while aligning it with contemporary club production.
