Thomas Melchior to take over Pure Beach on October 1
The event is a part of Saudi Groove festival and will feature also Biirdperson, Gooner, Hats & Klaps, H.O.A, SAZ, MAT-B, Vinylmode and Varoo
Thomas Melchior has confirmed a show at KAEC’s Pure Beach in Saudi Arabia, on October 1, Saturday.
Born in Germany, Thomas Melchior partly was raised in the USA, Spain and later England. The artist started his musical career as a composer, singer and keyboarder before moving to London in 1982 where he soon formed his first jazzfunk band (Blipvert Bigtop). Releasing records on his own label, Earworm, they performed in London warehouses, and clubs.
His personal speed-garage influenced deep hypnotic and micro house cuts set a new manifesto on his label Aspect Music. His sound soon was reaching cult status, being supported by DJs and producers the likes of Daniel Bell, Ricardo Villalobos, Luke Solomon, Akufen and Richie Hawtin, among others.
In the lineup of the event on October 1, music lovers can also expect to see Biirdperson, Gooner, Hats & Klaps, H.O.A, SAZ, MAT-B, Vinylmode and Varoo.
The show, named The Day After and hosted by Dish Dash, is a collaborative organisation of Monarch Events and Groove On The Grass; the latter presents also an open air festival, called Saudi Groove, at Juman Park KAEC on September 30, with the likes of Andhim, Cosmicat, Deian, Dish Dash, Loush, Maga, Patrice Baumel, Yulia Niko and Voidkid.
