Viberate rolls out new platform for indie artists, providing distribution and up to $1M advances

Viberate, a music data firm with its headquarters in Slovenia, has broadened its scope with the unveiling of a fresh platform aimed at independent musicians.

Viberate for Artists, the newly introduced service, provides music distribution across all prime streaming platforms, including industry giants like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tencent Music.

In addition to distribution, Viberate for Artists equips independent creators with booking and promotional tools, playlist and festival pitching resources, a free one-sheet tool, and professional artist analytics encompassing streaming and social media platforms.

According to Viberate, this innovative tool suite is crafted "for musicians who aspire to maintain independence or are in search of a stepping stone to a record contract".

Moreover, the new hub from Viberate also pledges financial support to indie artists through advances on future streaming royalties, which could total up to a staggering $1 million.

As per Viberate's website, in order to qualify for these advances, a track must be at least one year old and must have garnered at least 100,000 streams in the previous 12 months. Viberate states that they will "thoroughly scrutinise and individually evaluate every submission".

According to Viberate, the introduction of this new platform aligns with their overarching mission: "democratising data for every stakeholder in the music industry".

Viberate provides an array of A&R tools for labels and publishers, along with a business toolkit for managers and other music industry professionals.

The firm also asserts that its analytics tool processes over 1 billion data points daily, and claims to provide "exhaustive analytics pages for virtually every artist worldwide".

Last month, Viberate introduced an emerging artist chart, which integrates genre, performance, fanbase, and geolocation filters to simplify the discovery of new global talent.

Earlier in the year, the company reduced the cost of its professional music analytics suite, lowering it to an accessible $9.90 per month.

Vasja Veber, co-founder of Viberate, said, “Viberate is changing the rules of the game by giving artists access to all the tools that can help them kickstart their career without restrictions. Within the platform, they can reach out to music festivals and playlist curators directly, and use music analytics to look into their audience, find their next collabs, pinpoint festivals and playlists that can expand their reach, and research potential markets. Additionally, they can monitor their performance and compare it with their peers. As we want to make access to these tools affordable for every artist, they are available for $3.25 a month, some of them even completely free of charge!"
