Yasin Hazim pays homage to Detroit house and cultural heritage in new track, ‘Let’s Stay With It’
‘Let’s Stay With It’ leads the way for his forthcoming namesake EP

Yasin Hazim has released the title track of his forthcoming EP, ‘Let’s Stay With It’.
Set for full release via Feedasoul Records, the 4-track EP pays tribute to the legacy of Detroit house while weaving in textures drawn from Hazim’s North African heritage. Described as a love letter to deep house, the club, and the fleeting yet meaningful connections found on the dancefloor, the project balances introspective tones with resilient, groove-driven energy.
The title track, now available, introduces listeners to a sonic blend that fuses warm Rhodes and Wurlitzers with live bass, acid-tinged 303 lines, Arabic strings, and recorded jembes, all anchored by classic deep house percussion and a soulful vocal presence. It’s a composition that aims to bridge worlds: personal and collective, nostalgic and urgent.
Raised in Paris with roots in Morocco and Algeria, Hazim's background in classical training meets his affinity for blues, R&B, folk and psychedelic disco, culminating in a sound that’s both expressive and grounded. ‘Let’s Stay With It’ is less a stylistic pivot than it is a reaffirmation, an invitation to remain present, steady and connected in motion.
On his Instagram account, Yasin Hazim reflected on the making of the track, saying, “How I made ‘Let’s stay with it’, in fast forward. With of course a beautiful bass line by Jack Payne and vocals by Makeda Rose!”
The full EP will be released on June 20 via Feedasoul Records. Listen to the title track below, pre-order the EP here.
