Dwson’s sixth studio album ‘Nothing To Lose’ is streaming now

Dwson has released his sixth studio album, titled “Nothing To Lose”.

The South African producer’s latest album “Nothing To Lose” presents a more expansive and collaborative chapter in the producer’s catalogue, leaning into vocal-driven storytelling while maintaining his fluid deep house foundation. Across its 16 tracks, the album foregrounds a range of vocalists and textures, allowing each contribution to sit naturally within uncluttered, emotionally led production. The result feels both familiar and exploratory, reflecting a shift from the more restrained tone of his previous albums toward a fuller, more open sonic palette.

The record moves with a steady sense of continuity rather than dramatic peaks, shaped by recurring collaborators and a strong sense of place rooted in Cape Town’s scene. Tracks such as “Riptide”, “Selfish” and “Sense” prioritise atmosphere and mood over immediacy, reinforcing Dwson’s preference for subtle emotional build rather than overt intensity.

Released in 2025 before the album dropped, “New Day” and “Can’t Wait To See You” generated early buzz and listener appreciation.

To mark the release, Dwson is hosting two exclusive album launch events. The celebrations began in Cape Town on 7 February at The Alley, with a second launch set to follow in Johannesburg on 28 February.

An official music video for the title track “Nothing To Lose”, featuring Unwnd, has also been released, co-directed by Dwson and Ryan Jonathan.
