AlphaTheta brings Apple Music integration to CDJ-3000X with latest update
The over 100-million-track catalogue is also accessible via all-in-one systems including OPUS-QUAD, OMNIS-DUO and XDJ-AZ
AlphaTheta’s CDJ-3000X has gained Apple Music support following the release of a new update.
Delivered as part of the brand’s StreamingDirectPlay feature, the latest firmware enables Apple Music subscribers to tap directly into the platform’s library of more than 100 million tracks while performing on the DJ deck. Alongside the full catalogue, users can access their own playlists as well as Apple Music’s curated editorial selections.
To activate the feature, users need to set up rekordbox’s CloudDirectPlay system and sign in to their Apple Music account via the software. According to AlphaTheta, the process can be completed simply by holding a smartphone logged into rekordbox over the controller’s front panel.
Apple Music has also been rolled out across three of AlphaTheta’s all-in-one DJ systems, namely the OPUS-QUAD, OMNIS-DUO and XDJ-AZ. In addition, several other AlphaTheta units are compatible with Apple Music when used with rekordbox on both Mac and Windows.
Further details on the new update and Apple Music integration can be found in AlphaTheta’s official announcement here.
