Amro Zidan drops first single of the year, ‘catch me’
Alexandria-based producer continues to push his familiar experimental approach on his first release of 2026
Alexandria-based multidisciplinary artist Amro Zidan has returned with ‘catch me’, marking his first single of the year.
‘catch me’ is a tension-driven, atmospheric electronic track that merges dubstep-tinged bass with break-inspired rhythmic fluctuation and layered experimental textures, creating a moody, post-club soundscape rather than a conventional dancefloor anthem.
Active since 2006, Amro Zidan works across experimental electronic music, improvisation and performance. His practice spans production, rapping, vocals, sound design and visual art. He is a co-founder of the duo EIN L AQL, alongside Bassem Diaa, through which the project has released two albums as well as a series of singles and live sets. Zidan is also the founder of Tawreet (Entanglement), an ongoing project blending experimental sound, visuals and movement. As a solo artist, his catalogue spans the EPs ‘El Tashweesh Tafah’, ‘El Hufra’ and ‘Tamheed Lil Fawda’, as well as the album ‘Until It’s Clear’ and the full-length ‘Ecstasy of Mania’.
