Apple Music launches DJ support across rekordbox, Serato, Denon DJ, djay pro and more
"DJ with Apple Music" unlocks access to over 100 million tracks on the platform for DJs, via a range of software and hardware tools
Apple Music has unveiled a brand-new, fully integrated DJ experience.
Launched last week, the new feature called "DJ with Apple Music" allows subscribers to craft and mix sets directly from the platform’s vast catalogue of over 100 million tracks. Developed in collaboration with leading DJ software and hardware brands like AlphaTheta, Serato, Engine DJ, Denon DJ, Numark, RANE DJ and djay Pro, the tool opens up fresh creative possibilities for DJs worldwide.
“With this latest integration, we’re taking that commitment even further—seamlessly connecting Apple Music with the industry’s leading DJ software and hardware," Apple Music's Global Head of Dance, Electronic & DJ Mixes Stephen Campbell said in a statement.
"This innovation brings the full power of Apple Music into the creative workflow, making it easier than ever for DJs to access, play, and discover music in real time,” he continues.
DJ with Apple Music builds on the platform’s earlier move into the DJ space with the DJ Mixes programme, which first rolled out in 2021. Towards the end of last year, Apple Music also expanded its focus on dance culture by launching its dedicated radio station, Apple Music Club.
