AlphaTheta unveils HDJ-F10 wireless DJ headphones, powered by SonicLink technology
The HDJ-F10 is offered as a standalone model or in a complete bundle with the HP-TX01 transmitter
AlphaTheta, the parent company of Pioneer DJ, has introduced its latest offering in the professional DJ headphone range, the HDJ-F10. Designed with professional DJs in mind, this new wireless model aims to deliver a balance of flexibility and sound quality, featuring ultra-low latency and enhanced audio performance.
Central to the HDJ-F10’s design is its proprietary SonicLink technology, a wireless system engineered to minimise latency. With just 9 milliseconds of delay, the technology significantly reduces lag compared to conventional Bluetooth connections, enabling smooth track monitoring and precise mixing. This speed is up to 20 times faster than the standard Bluetooth SBC codec, positioning the HDJ-F10 as a strong choice for DJs seeking seamless audio response.
The HDJ-F10 can be paired with the HP-TX01 transmitter, which is included in the HDJ-F10-TX package, allowing DJs to move freely within a 15-metre range in open environments. The compact transmitter integrates easily into any DJ setup, ensuring reliable wireless performance without compromising space.
With newly developed 40-millimetre drivers and a frequency response of 5 Hz to 30 kHz, the HDJ-F10 delivers high-resolution sound. The drivers’ composite diaphragm, constructed from a PEEK-PU-PEEK material blend, provides a broad sound spectrum, capturing everything from deep bass to crisp highs, offering DJs the clarity they need to refine their mixes in both club and live settings.
AlphaTheta has also enhanced the sound isolation of the HDJ-F10 by upgrading the earpads and housing, resulting in an improved acoustic seal that surpasses even their previous flagship model, the HDJ-X10. This feature makes the HDJ-F10 well-suited for environments with high ambient noise, such as busy DJ booths or live venues.
The headphones’ battery supports up to 9 hours of playback in SonicLink mode and up to 30 hours with Bluetooth, providing ample power for extended sets or studio sessions. The headphones are also equipped with a built-in microphone and support for voice assistants like Siri® and Google Assistant™, allowing DJs to manage calls and controls hands-free.
Last week, AIAIAI, the Danish audio brand, introduced their first wireless DJ headphones, the TMA-2 DJ Wireless, which will be available in early 2025.
The HDJ-F10 is offered either as a standalone model or as part of the HDJ-F10-TX bundle, which includes the HP-TX01 transmitter for added flexibility. The standalone headphones are priced at $389, while the bundle is set at $499, with availability expected in mid-October 2024. For those seeking the HP-TX01 transmitter separately, it will be on sale in mid-November for $129.
