Baloo teams up with Carlo on 'Doors Open'
The two-track release includes a remix from Brawther
Saudi Arabia-based DJ, producer and Gabu Records head Baloo (Ahmad Alammary) has released his latest collaborative single, 'Doors Open'.
Baloo has teamed up with the Aterral Records founder, Berlin-based DJ/producer Carlo (Carlos Álvarez) on the two-track release. The opening title-track is accompanied by a remix from Paris-based artist Brawther (Alexandre Gouyette).
Baloo and Carlo's synergy in the studio continues with 'Doors Open.' This isn't their first partnership; they’ve previously collaborated on the 'Graduate' EP in 2021 and the tracks 'Salted Chocolate' and 'Maracuja,' both of which dropped last year.
Carlo has commented regarding the release on his Instagram post, stating, "Baloo and I have been friends for about 5 years, ever since my first trip to Saudi Arabia to play at Soundstorm. It was an instant connection. Since then, we’ve been sharing lots of remarkable moments together, and I can’t imagine my life without him anymore. We love to sit down in our studio in Berlin, chatting about music and life before diving into production. Our new track, 'Doors Open', emerged from one of these sessions. It’s deep and raw, exactly how we like it. Plus, there’s a little surprise: our very good friend Brawther crafted a beautiful remix of the track, and we couldn’t be happier with the result."
