Berghain’s label Ostgut Ton is back after four years of silence

Ostgut Ton, the in-house label of Berlin’s Berghain, has returned after a four-year hiatus.

Its comeback is marked by the release of ‘Klubnacht 01’, a new compilation that landed on 30 May, featuring tracks from Azu Tiwaline, Cinna Peyghamy, Fadi Mohem, Altinbas, JakoJako, Efdemin, Steffi, Verraco, Quelza and GiGi FM. The release also coincides with the label’s 20th anniversary.

The label, founded in 2005, last released Fünfzehn + 1 in 2021, before shutting down its affiliated booking agency Ostgut Booking in 2022.

In previous years, the label has also released music by artists from the MENA-T diaspora, including Len Faki, Murat Tepeli and Elif Bicer.
