Freaks of Nature and MixFM are in search of Saudi Arabia’s next superstar DJ

Freaks of Nature and MixFM has announced a DJ competition for the forthcoming Freaks of ARAVEIA festival.
The capacity crowd at the Al Duhami Equestrian Center could be the first to see Saudi Arabia’s next superstar DJ. Freaks of Nature has teamed up with MixFM, FM 98.0, to launch the ‘Rule the Stage’ DJ competition and find talented Saudi artists and give one lucky winner the chance to perform at the festival.
The most impressive entry will win a 60-minute timeslot to perform their own set on stage at Freaks of ARAVEIA. To take part, aspiring DJs, producers and musicians just have to submit a set here.
Speaking on the competition, Yazeed Al Hashim, Chief Disruption Officer at Disrupt Group, says, “There is so much talent in this country just waiting to explode onto the scene. The Freaks of Nature DJ Competition is the perfect chance for aspiring DJs, emcees and performers of all types to step up and show us what they’ve got. The stage is set and this is a great chance for one talented performer to launch their career in the music industry. Together with MixFM, we are keen supporters of the growing music industry in Saudi Arabia, and the chance to perform in front of a crowd is an opportunity not to be missed.”
Freaks of Nature returns on the 3-4 November 2022 with a brand-new concept for its third edition, Freaks of ARAVEIA. Taking over the Al Duhami Equestrian Center for two nights, Freaks of ARAVEIA which is presented by Disrupt Group will light up the desert skies in Riyadh with stunning visuals, flamboyant costumes and vibrant colours as well as 10 international headliners including Mesto, Seth Hills, Kaaze and Toby Romeo.
A strong line up of more than 25 local favourites will be performing, including DJs and MCs Dish Dash, Cosmicat, Alaa Jazaeri, Sound of Yaz and RDJ, along with special guests and the winner of the first ever Freaks of Nature DJ competition, perform back-to-back across three stages.
Freaks of ARAVEIA will also host art installations, local clothing brands, a pop-up night market zone, and the hottest street food trucks in town, serving delicious creations all weekend.
