Hozho and Droplex join forces for new single, ‘Sitting In This Cage’
Melodic techno powerhouses Hozho and Droplex have teamed up to release a new collaborative single
Portugal's Hozho and Hungary's Droplex have teamed up for their latest release, ‘Sitting In This Cage’.
Their collaborative melodic techno track takes listeners on a journey through time and space through its ethereal melodies and minimalistic, dark sounds. It opens with gentle piano notes and spoken words, before introducing ominous synths and a bassline that adds to the track’s minimal techno and psytrance elements. The progression of ‘Sitting In This Cage’ almost feels like a narrative of someone freeing themselves from mental and physical bonds.
Hozho is recognized for his Melodark style, which melds progressive melodies with underground elements, and for performing in a plague doctor's mask to ward off negative energies. Droplex, on the other hand, is a prominent name in the forward-thinking electronic music scene, particularly for his hit single ‘Dance’ which spent almost a year at the top of Beatport's Minimal Chart. Both artists have previously played together at events such as Insomnia and other festivals across Europe and beyond.
