Hrag Mikkel delivers rhythm, musicality and emotion in cohesive balance on ‘Digitouch’

Beirut-based producer Hrag Mikkel made his debut on Joone’s Acrylic on Canvas imprint with his new EP, “Digitouch”.

Across the title track “Digitouch” and its counterpart “Natural Manifest”, the artist shaped fluid basslines, detailed melodic work and tightly woven grooves, blending live-influenced phrasing with sleek, tightly sculpted sound.

Raised in a musical household and active in alternative and progressive rock bands from the age of 14, Hrag Mikkel later shifted his focus to electronic music after discovering DJs like John Digweed, carrying a strong sense of narrative and performance into his studio work. Over the past years he has built a reputation for groove-led, storytelling productions across labels such as Monaberry, Marginalia, Amaeo and Sanctuary Music, and for sets that emphasise long-form progression and organic colour.

The “Digitouch” EP is a groove-driven and melodically focused release shaped by his years as a bass and guitar player. It follows a string of solo and collaborative projects released this year, among them “Circada”, “Edge of Return”, “Metanoia”, “I Need You” and “Nobody”.
