KasbaH drops volume three of ‘Musique de Fête’ via Nowadays Records

The Algeria-hailing, now France-based DJ/producer KasbaH (pictured) has curated the third volume of ‘Musique de Fête’ compilation series on Nowadays Records.

The six-track compilation brings together a diverse array of artists from North Africa, the Middle East and Europe, including the likes of Bab, Sharouh, Yane, Kabylie Minogue, Shadi Khries, Tushen Raï, Jarl Flamar, Olkan and KasbaH himself. The very first volume of the series, released in 2021, featured tracks by the likes of Les Frères Jackfruit, Rural Brutal and Imazzalen. The second, featuring artists such as Bachar Mar Khalifé, Taxi Kebab and Dat García, came out the same year.

A statement from the label reads: “Musique de Fête underlines our timeless and ageless need for sharing and celebrating. All the artists of the collective bring their uniqueness to Musique de Fête. It’s a music full of childhood memories, family reunions, eastern roots, experiences and dreams. More than a vibe, it’s a state of mind that they all share in this project. It's a music to celebrate and that comes in many different shapes, but that always carries us carefreeness.”

After nearly a two-year break, ‘Musique de Fête (KasbaH & Friends)’ is back. Listen to the new third volume below.
