Liliane Chlela and LAÏ bridge experimental pop and drum’n bass on new collaborative single, ‘Msh S7ab’
The single marks the first chapter of a two-part project and arrives with a video directed by Mohsen Sherif
Lebanese experimental DJ/producer Liliane Chlela and alt-pop artist LAÏ have come together on 'Msh S7ab', a collaborative single that opens the door to a two-part joint project, accompanied by a video directed by Mohsen Sherif.
Marking the first chapter of this partnership, the track moves fluidly between experimental pop sensitivity and the restless momentum of drum’n bass, leaning into tension, restraint and emotional volatility, and captures a raw creative exchange that feels both deliberate and instinctive.
Lyrically, the song circles around unresolved intimacy and emotional ambiguity, built on the recurring question “Do you love me or not?” as a refrain that refuses to settle into certainty. The words trace the slow realisation that closeness does not always equal belonging, moving between distance and familiarity as two people oscillate between being strangers and something unnameable in between. Themes of emotional exhaustion, self-awareness, and quiet resignation emerge as love is reframed not as failure, but as a truth uncovered through separation.
