Maher Daniel shares first solo release in four years, ‘Splinter Time’

Maher Daniel has shared his first solo release in four years with the arrival of ‘Splinter Time’, a new two-track EP released via Cadence Noire.

The release marks the Palestinian-American DJ and producer's first solo outing since 2022's ‘Syncussion’, following a period centred on collaborative projects, remixes and label activity through his imprint, The Other Side. Consisting of the title track ‘Splinter Time’ and ‘Cloud Break’, the EP sees the artist return to the groove-led minimal house aesthetic that has defined much of his catalogue.

His recent output has also included the ‘Changes’ EP series with Ricardo Villalobos, the latest instalment of which first arrived as a vinyl-only release via The Other Side in 2022 before receiving a digital release in 2024.

For nearly two decades, Maher Daniel has remained a familiar figure within the global underground electronic music community. After first gaining recognition through his residency at Montreal's renowned Stereo nightclub, he went on to establish an international profile through releases on labels including No.19 Music, All Day I Dream, Get Physical and Leftroom, alongside an extensive touring schedule spanning North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Cadence Noire is a new sub-label of Cadenza Music launched in 2025 and directed by Romanian artist Guy From Downstairs (Vovaldi). Cadenza itself was founded in Switzerland in 2003 by Luciano and Philippe Quenum and became one of the defining labels of the minimal house and techno movement.
