SOLTO builds on the success of ‘Jamaican (Bam Bam)’ with debut solo single ‘En La Mar’
“I want my music to feel like an escape—something that brings people together through rhythm, energy, and emotion,” says Antoine Duthey, the creative force behind SOLTO
Having gained significant attention through “Jamaican (Bam Bam)”, SOLTO has returned with “En La Mar”, marking the first solo release from French DJ and producer Antoine Duthey.
The new record arrives after a breakout period for the artist, whose collaboration with HUGEL, “Jamaican (Bam Bam)”, helped introduce his percussion-led sound to a growing international audience.
Launched in the summer of 2025, SOLTO blends Afro house and house music influences through rhythmic percussion, melodic elements and global musical references. While still a relatively new project, it has quickly found an audience across streaming platforms, social media and dancefloors worldwide.
A significant part of that momentum has been driven by “Jamaican (Bam Bam)”, SOLTO's collaborative release with HUGEL. The track reached No. 1 on Beatport's Afro house chart and accumulated more than 100 million streams within months of its release. Beyond streaming platforms, the record also generated substantial engagement across social media, helping raise the profile of the French producer within the broader electronic music landscape.
Rather than relying solely on peak-time energy, “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” balances groove-driven percussion with accessible melodic structures, reflecting the crossover appeal that has become increasingly prominent within today's Afro house scene. The track's success also highlights the growing global appetite for dance music that draws influence from multiple cultural and rhythmic traditions.
“I want my music to feel like an escape—something that brings people together through rhythm, energy, and emotion,” says Antoine Duthey, the creative force behind SOLTO.
That philosophy extends into his DJ performances, where rhythmic layering, melodic textures and immersive transitions form the core of his approach. As Afro House continues to expand beyond its traditional markets, artists such as SOLTO are contributing to the genre's wider international reach while introducing new listeners to its evolving sound.
The recent release of “En La Mar” marks the next step in that development. Incorporating Latin influences alongside the project's established Afro house foundations, the single further explores the musical direction SOLTO has been building since launching the project last year.
