Mor Elian’s debut album ‘Solid Space’ blends ambient and early IDM structures
The 11-track album mirrors the internal focus that emerged throughout her pregnancy
Mor Elian has announced her debut studio album ‘Solid Space’, which is set for release on November 28 via adventurous electronic imprint topo2. Arriving ten years after her first output, the LP marks a broader development in her practice, moving between dream-like listening states and experimental club environments.
Written during her pregnancy, the compositions reportedly emerged in emotional, unfiltered bursts, reflecting an approach centred on intuition rather than structure. Across the record, Elian blends ambient textures, early IDM frameworks and experimental electronics, while distant, hazy vocals come together in a cohesive, subconscious flow.
Alongside her work under her own name, Elian co-runs the label Fever AM and continues to explore cross-genre territories spanning techno, breaks and electro. ‘Solid Space’ appears to extend that trajectory, presenting a more inward-looking interpretation of her sonic interests and widening her artistic scope.
Elian has roots spanning Yemen and Iran through her family background and grew up in Tel Aviv before relocating into Europe’s electronic music circuit.
‘Solid Space’ will be released on November 28 in digital and vinyl formats.
