Nour launches Aswatna talent agency for Palestinian artists
Alongside artist representation, Aswatna is developing a discovery platform designed to connect artists with curators, festivals and venues
Aswatna has launched as a new talent agency dedicated exclusively to representing Palestinian artists across a range of creative disciplines, aiming to provide the infrastructure, guidance and professional support needed to help artists develop sustainable careers.
Founded to address what it describes as a significant gap in the cultural ecosystem, Aswatna offers services spanning artist management, bookings, branding and professional development. The agency's mission is to support Palestinian artists in accessing opportunities while establishing long-term foundations for career growth.
“Again and again, I encountered incredibly talented Palestinian artists, but there was no clear infrastructure to support their growth. Artists need more than visibility, they need management, opportunities, strategic branding, and long-term career development. Having worked with both an agent and manager myself, I know firsthand how transformative that support can be,” says Nour Alsholi, founder of Aswatna and the DJ known as Nour.
The initiative emerges from years of direct experience working with Palestinian artists and cultural programming internationally. The concept for Aswatna was developed through the founder's involvement with the Palestine House initiative in London, where she served as Creative Director and Events Programmer for three years, curating cultural programmes and working closely with Palestinian artists. She later launched Palestine House Lisbon, continuing similar work in Portugal, including booking Palestinian artists across multiple artistic disciplines.
According to the agency, these experiences highlighted a recurring challenge facing many artists despite the breadth of Palestinian creative talent operating globally.
Alongside its representation services, Aswatna is also developing a discovery platform designed to make Palestinian artists more accessible to curators, event organisers, venues and festivals worldwide. The platform is expected to feature centralised artist profiles, booking information, portfolios, media assets and performance details, creating a streamlined point of access between artists and potential collaborators.
