Thousand Fingers releases first single of the year, ‘Arise’
Featuring vocals from Magaziine, the track balances hypnotic rhythmic patterns with evolving melodic textures
Thousand Fingers (Hakan Ozkan) has released his new single ‘Arise’ featuring Magaziine.
Blending melodic and Afro house influences, the track was shaped through a songwriting process inspired by classical composition methods. The vocal melody formed the starting point of the track, with the lyrics recorded afterwards, allowing the emotional direction of the production to emerge early in the creative process.
The approach reflects a more intentional production process centred around pre-visualisation, with each sonic element carefully shaped and positioned throughout the arrangement. ‘Arise’ balances hypnotic rhythmic patterns with evolving melodic textures, while Magaziine’s vocal performance moves the track between introspective passages and more peak-time oriented moments.
The London-based artist’s new single, released via his own label Follow The Fingers // Records, marks his first outing of the year, following tracks such as ‘BYGMAF’, ‘Running Away’ and his remix of F/Theme’s ‘To Margoudi’.
Alongside the original track, the release includes an alternative instrumental cut.
