PARAMIDA releases first EP in three years, ‘Devil's Destination’

PARAMIDA has released her first EP in three years, ‘Devil's Destination’, via her own label Love On The Rocks.

Out now, the four-track release features two new solo productions, a collaborative reinterpretation of a rare 2000s tech house track alongside E-Talking, and a remix by veteran producer Mathew Jonson.

The EP reflects the German-Iranian producer's well-established reputation as a selector and producer with a deep understanding of dance music’s past and present. Her approach weaves together historical references, genre fluidity and a forward-facing production style that continues to evolve while remaining rooted in club culture.

The EP opens with its title track ‘Devil’s Destination’, a driving blend of heavy basslines, vocal fragments and percussive detail that nods to ’90s house, breakbeat and rave, balancing dancefloor momentum with reflective moments. Next is ‘On Process’, a collaborative rework with E-Talking based on a 2002 French deep/tech house track, where disco-inflected percussion and dubby synths are woven into a seamless, genre-blurring flow. It’s followed by a remix from Mathew Jonson, who draws out the track’s minimal and dub-tech textures with precise drum programming and layered atmospheres. Closing the EP is ‘Sayonara’, a brief ambient coda that revisits PARAMIDA’s interest in dream house through soft pads, delayed vocal snippets and a subdued proto-house bassline.

Born and raised in Germany, PARAMIDA spent part of her adolescence in Tehran, where she attended a German school and became involved in the city’s underground party scene. After returning to Germany, she immersed herself in the club circuits of Frankfurt and Berlin. Since relocating to Berlin in 2010, she has become a resident DJ at Berghain’s Panorama Bar and has run Love On The Rocks since 2014.
