Paul van Dyk introduces new alias Aurien and launches new imprint Château Bonheur Musique
The debut of Aurien is accompanied by inaugural release ‘Empatia’, produced alongside Jab Vix
Paul van Dyk has introduced a new musical alias, Aurien, and launched Château Bonheur Musique, a new record label that opens its catalogue with the debut single ‘Empatia’, a collaboration with Jab Vix.
The project marks a new creative chapter for the German electronic music artist, whose Aurien alias is centred around lounge, chill-out and ambient music. Described as music for “slow moments, golden hours, and quiet escape”, the project explores softer electronic textures, spacious atmospheres and a more understated approach to electronic production.
Alongside the launch of the alias, the artist has unveiled Château Bonheur Musique, a new imprint described as “a resort of music between the last light of day & the beginning of night”. Built around the idea that each release serves as “a key to a new room, an artist's vision”, the label presents every project as a distinct sonic space with its own atmosphere and character.
Its first release, ‘Empatia’, introduces the musical direction of both the label and the Aurien project. The track combines melodic electronic elements with warm textures and fluid rhythms. The release is available in three versions, including the original mix, a radio mix and an alternative ‘Elegant Mix’.
