Lebanese DJ and producer RooneyNasr has released a new two-track EP, ‘Question Your Life’.
The opening title track features pulsating rhythms, dark and immersive soundscapes, and a nuanced blend of electronic elements while the other cut, ‘You’re The One’ combines a driving dance floor pulse with intricate synthesisers, atmospheric textures and intriguing vocal phrases in a higher tempo.
Not just a DJ/producer but a catalyst for the techno movement in Beirut, RooneyNasr has been instrumental in shaping the city's electronic music landscape. He is the visionary behind Pitchfork Beirut, a community that has become a beacon for techno enthusiasts in the region. Additionally, his entrepreneurial spirit shines through his co-founding roles at Bionic Room, a record label known for its cool releases, and EKSTASIS, a platform dedicated to the harder edges of techno.
He also explores different sonic territories under his alter ego, Xlr8, showcasing a versatility that transcends conventional techno boundaries.
The EP follows on from his latest single, ‘Losing Control’.
